That is the work George is known for. Bring what the other shop told you and any codes they pulled — knowing what has already been ruled out and what parts have already been replaced saves you money on our diagnostic time.
We cover most major heavy-duty manufacturers — International, PACCAR, Mack, Isuzu, Detroit, Caterpillar, Cummins, Volvo, Ford, GM and Hino among them. Most, not all. Call with your engine and we will tell you straight whether it is one we can properly support.
Sometimes, and sometimes it is not. It depends on the condition of the rest of the truck, what the rebuild will cost against what the unit is worth, and how long you plan to keep running it. We will give you the numbers and let you decide — we do not sell repairs customers do not need.
The shop is on Riverside Drive in Lakeside, so the tow is short from most of East County — and a short tow is real money on a truck that will not roll. We take work from across San Diego County.
